The lavish Spice Market takes its inspiration from the ancient Spice Route travelled by traders of old, and has been exquisitely furnished to reflect this famous journey from Asia Minor through to the Far East. What they put forward is food that any of the bar staff could prepare. I have backing of 8 other students I happen to know personally from different nationalities. Great atmosphere, funky setting with great service from the staff.
Submitted by Najafi Design Group Mar 18, 2017 Spice Market: Melbourne started out life as the incredibly well appointed bar and lounge attached to the critically acclaimed MoMo Restaurant, spearheaded by restaurateur and nightlife experts Geremy and Dean Lucas and internationally award-winning Chef Greg Malouf. The custom automation system features a fully independent emergency stop override system with active braking, active intelligent system monitoring, and an operator presence control system. Occupying over 1200 square metres of basement space, egress and ingress was very, very tight. Artifacts and genuine antiquities are displayed throughout the venue, rich fabrics and stonework dress each wall, and dozens of artisan-crafted bird cages dotted the space. The rest of the venue is easily accessible if desired.
The music for myself was terrible but once again not my type of venue. Grand Lafayette is here and is making one big statement. Anyway the growling beast was satisfied at least. Upon entering the subterranean world of Spice Market, you are transported to a more exotic time and place. The songs would start and then 30 seconds later be different.
This super premium, private lounge accommodates up to 14 guests and includes your own personal attendant, private karaoke facilities, independent air-conditioning and a host of other features. So, desperately hungry, we gave it a crack. Spice Market captures the essence of the Middle East and Mediterranean with a mezze style menu that reflects the heritage of the fabled Spice Route and features dishes with a distinctive Oriental flavour. It's literally down the corner from Spice Market and they're really nice too. I was naive to think that we could just rock up and get a table anywhere without queuing for hours.
